Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) This purchase completes my Barbara Morgenstern collection. OK, there still are some EPs, fan editions, and collaboration albums out there, but I'm not sure yet if I really need them. Like on its predecessor "The Grass Is Always Greener", the most salient instrument on "BM" is the piano - this time a Bechstein grand piano, located in the "House of World Cultures" in Berlin. However, there's still a lot of electronics to be found in the quite varied tracks. One highlight is "Camouflage", co-written and sung by Robert Wyatt, another one "Deine Geschichte", featuring a massive cello arrangement by Julia Kent, who's present on Bandcamp, too. The album is full of surprises, comprising some unusually experimental tracks, like "Velocity", "Jakarta", and "Hustefuchs". My favorite tracks are "Monokultur" and "Meine Aufgabe", but I can't select either of them, because the're not freely streamable, so I chose "Deine Geschichte" instead. Favorite track: Deine Geschichte.
